      <description>Jonathan Schanzer talked about his book [Hamas vs. Fatah: The Struggle for Palestine] (Palgrave Macmillan; November 11, 2008). He talks about the conflict between Fatah and Hamas since the late 1980s and what that has meant for the Israel-Palestine peace process. Mr. Schanzer was interviewed by Cliff May, president of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD). He also responded to questions from members of the audience at the luncheon.
  
 
 Jonathan Schanzer is deputy executive director of the Jewish Policy Center and a former counterterrorism analyst at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. While a research fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy he wrote [Al-Qaeda's Armies: Middle East Affiliate Groups and the Next Generation of Terror].</description>
