Book Discussion on [The Truth about Muhammad]

Robert Spencer talked about his book, [The Truth about Muhammad: The Founder of the World's Most Intolerant Religion], published by Regnery Publishing. He argued that the example of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, justifies jihad and terrorism. He used primary sources to detail Muhammad's development from a preacher into a political and military leader and evaluated modern biographies to show how Muhammad has been changed for Western audiences, lulling them into consoling but false conclusions. He described Muhammad's life and teachings as violent and urged Americans to understand the true nature of Islam in order to effectively combat terrorism. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.

Q&A with Robert Spencer

Robert Spencer talked about his observations of the religion of Islam. He took part in a recent documentary by Quixotic Media, [Islam: What the West Needs to Know], and said the film examines the religion of Islam, its main tenants and its relationship with other religions. Several clips from the film were shown, including clips in the documentary of President Bush, President Clinton and others describing Islam as a peaceful religion. Spencer strongly disagreed with these sentiments and quoted extensively from the Koran to show that portions of the holy book of Islam mandate violence and explained that the West should be very concerned about the spread of international jihad Islam.

Mr. Spencer has written several books on Islam.

Book Discussion on [The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam]

Robert Spencer talked about his book [The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)], published by Regnery. In the book he urges the West to reclaim pride in its own culture. The author argues that the efforts to combat terrorism will never be won if Islamic apologists and liberals continue to justify their political agendas with historical myths. Mr. Spencer asserts that Islam is not a religion of peace and that Christianity and Islam were not spread in the same way. He then took questions from members of the audience.
