      <description>Derek Leebaert spoke about his book, [Magic and Mayhem: The Delusions of American Foreign Policy from Korea to Afghanistan], as well as American foreign policy and the leaders who shaped it. He also talked about "the six illusions of foreign policy" listed in his book, which focused on the timing of decisions and leadership styles.
Mr. Leebaert has been a professor at Georgetown for 15 years and is currently a partner at MAP AG, a Swiss management consulting firm. He is author of [To Dare and to Conquer: Achilles to Al Queda] (2006) and [The Fifty-Year Wound: How America's Cold War Victory Shapes Our World] (2002).</description>

He talked about the use of commandos in wars throughout history. Mr. Leebaert argued that these special operation forces have played decisive roles in wars going back to the time of Achilles. He provided a profile of the people who make up the ranks of modern special operation forces and talked about the ones that are currently in Afghanistan. After his presentation he answered questions from members of the audience.</description>
