      <description>Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee Sen. Al Gore addressed the 1992 Democratic National Convention on its final night to accept his nomination. Sen. Al Gore called for a change in presidential leadership in order to turn the nation in the right direction, and addressed a number of issues on the Democratic Party agenda, including education and the environment. During a portion of his speech, Sen. Gore repeated the line, "It is time for them to go," until the convention audience chanted the line with him during his speech. He also lauded the achievements of presidential nominee Gov. Bill Clinton's performance as governor of Arkansas. He also recognized his parents and his family in the audience, at which time he detailed his son's accident in 1989. Sen. Gore's parents and family joined him on stage following his remarks. Prior to his remarks, a video presentation introduced Sen. Gore and his family and detailed many of his accomplishments in office.</description>
