Life of President Bill Clinton

Some speakers were misidentified on-screen during this program.

Former aides to Governor and President Bill Clinton celebrated his 60th birthday by gathering to talk about their experiences with the governor, the president, and the man they know. The panelists talked about President Clinton's life and his rise as a statewide political figure, prior to becoming president.

The panel was called, "From Tricycles to Bicycles to Air Force One: The Rise of a Political Star," a name derived from editorial cartoons by the late George Fisher of the [Arkansas Gazette] and [Arkansas Times] depicting Clinton as a young politician, riding tricycles and bicycles. The discussion was moderated by Bobby Roberts, former assistant to Governor Clinton on education and prisons. Skip Rutherford was a member of President Clinton's transition team.

The symposium was held in the Great Hall of the Clinton Presidential Center.
