      <title>President Clinton 1993 Inaugural Ceremony</title>
      <description>President Clinton addressed the nation following his swearing-in during the presidential inauguration ceremony. In his remarks, the president called for Americans to assume greater responsibility for the future of the country, renewing America through bold actions by the current generations of Americans. The 14 minute speech took place on the sun-drenched steps of the festooned U.S. Capitol before a large crowd. The ceremony also included the swearing-in of Vice President Gore, as well as remarks by Reverend Billy Graham and recitation of a poem written especially for the Clinton inaugural by Maya Angelou.</description>

      <description>In the forty-first in a series on American presidents, scholars discussed the life and career of Bill Clinton. Among the issues discussed were Clinton's childhood and early adulthood, his terms as governor of Arkansas, his campaign for the presidency and the scandals during his presidency. During the program they showed still photographs and video of President Clinton and toured his boyhood home. Ms. Christian, a teacher from William Jefferson Clinton Elementary School in Sherwood, Arkansas was interviewed via telephone. Mr. Maraniss participated by remote connection from Washington, DC and talked about his biography of President Clinton, [First in His Class]. Ms. Sorenson talked about President Clinton and about her book, [Dead Center: Clinton-Gore Leadership and the Perils of Moderation] during the latter half of the program.       <title>Clinton Presidential Center Dedication Ceremony</title>
      <description>Former President Bill Clinton dedicated his new presidential library and museum in Little Rock, Arkansas. In his remarks President Clinton talked about the meaning and symbolism of the library design, the state of American politics, and the value of public service for all Americans regardless of ideological and political backgrounds. Other speakers discussed President Clinton's life and career. They spoke about his political and personal accomplishments. President Bush and former President Bush spoke about President Clinton's political skill and savvy, and President Carter talked about President Clinton's ability to forge consensus in spite of partisan divisions. Speakers remarked on the significance of four Presidents speaking on the same stage. Several celebrities were in attendance, and members of the rock band U2 played despite the rain.
 
 The library is the 11th presidential library to be included in the federal records and National Archives system.

      <description>The twelfth in a series on presidential libraries focused on Bill Clinton's life and career using rarely seen film and sound recordings, as well as letters, documents and artifacts collected from the stacks and vaults of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. Library officials displayed the library collection and responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. Series historian and consultant Richard Norton Smith participated from the studio in Washington, D.C.
 
 Highlighted film, sound, documents, and artifacts featured during the show included an exclusive interview and walking tour of the Clinton Library with former President Bill Clinton on November 26, 2007; the on-air release of domestic policy documents and a look at artifacts not on public display; and footage shot by the White House Television Office, which recorded many of the activities of the Clinton presidency.
 
 C-SPAN's Presidential Libraries: History Uncovered was a 12-week series airing live on location from the 12 presidential libraries spanning Herbert Hoover to Bill Clinton.</description>

Taylor Branch is the author of a multi-volume history of the civil rights movement, the first volume [Parting the Waters: America in the King Years, 1954-63] was the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize. Mr. Branch was formerly a staff member of [Harper's, Esquire], and [The Washington Monthly]. 
John Harris is the editor in chief of [Politico]. He was formerly a political reporter for the [Washington Post] where he covered the Clinton White House from 1995 to 2001. He is the author of [The Survivor: Bill Clinton in the White House] and co-author of [The Way to Win: Taking the White House in 2008].</description>
