      <description>Arabian Gulf states scholars talked about the decline of American power. Kuwait University's Political Science Professor Abdullah Al-Shayji called the U.S. "a broken superpower" when describing its influence in the Arabian Gulf states. Panelists agreed that the East is rising in influence and Arab nations were looking more to Asia for economic interests. 
The 21st Annual Arab-U.S. Policymakers Conference was held by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.</description>
