      <title>Security Operations in Iraq</title>
      <description>General Mixon talked live by remote connection from Iraq to reporters in the Pentagon to provide an update of ongoing security operations in Iraq. He said it is not the U.S. military's responsibility to act in the fight between Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq and Turkey. He said he plans to do "absolutely nothing" to counter the rebel activity. He has sent no additional U.S. troops to the area and that he is not tracking hiding places or logistics activities of the rebels. He answered reporters' questions.
 
 General Mixon is also commander of the U.S. Army 25th Infantry.</description>
