In the first case, arguments where heard for a First Amendment challenge which questioned whether a journalist had fabricated direct quotes for an article. The subject of the article sued the magazine running the story. The other case involved a decision handed down by the Court on a school busing case in Oklahoma. The Court's decision allows for school districts to discontinue busing policies designed to end segregation, if certain standards of equity can be proven.
