C-SPAN conducted an interview with Vice President and Mrs. Cheney at the Vice President's residence on Wednesday morning, July 14, 2004. The interview focused on the following topics: politics in Congress and Washington; if terrorists disrupted the November 2nd elections, how the U.S. would be prepared; U.S. response to any attack if terrorist struck again; whether we will be able to move beyond the fear and terror warnings which currently dominate much of our media coverage; how he's preparing for his upcoming debate with Senator John Edwards whether there are any circumstances under which he would not be on the ticket; what would be different in a second Bush Administration; the on-going political debate in the Senate over judicial nominees and how that debate would potentially carry over if there is a second Bush term, and a vacancy in the U.S. Supreme Court; experiences on the campaign trail, with comments from both the Vice President and Mrs. Cheney; and media coverage.
