      <title>Massachusetts Republican Senate Primary Debate</title>
      <description>Republican candidates to fill former Massachusetts Senator John Kerry's seat held a primary debate. All three, former U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan, State Representative Daniel Winslow, and businessman Gabriel Gomez endorsed repealing the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. They had differences on abortion rights and the right of states to ban same-sex marriage. 
The primary election would be April 30, 2013, and the special election would be June 25, 2013. 
This debate was held by the Boston Media Consortium at the WCVB television studios in Needham, Massachusetts.
