      <title>Ohio 2012 Presidential Electors Meeting</title>
      <description>Ohio's Electoral College met in the Ohio Statehouse Senate Chamber to cast their votes, one for president and one for vice president. All 18 members cast their votes for President Obama and Vice President Biden. 
The proceedings included the Columbus Police Honor Guard, the national anthem, and prayers. They opened with a moment of silence for those killed in a shooting December 14, 2013, at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, who was also an elector, spoke about the shooting, the election, and the federal budget process.
