President Obama was visiting Chile as part of a five-day Latin American tour, with additional stops in Brazil and El Salvador.</description>

The NASA team of two medical doctors, a psychologist and an engineer arrived in Chile Aug. 31.</description>

 She was elected January 15, 2006, in a run-off election, marking the fourth consecutive presidential-election win for Concertacion, a center-left coalition of parties in Chile. She's a 54-year-old physician and belongs to Chile's Socialist Party. 
 
 U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice attended the inauguration.</description>

The book, published on the 30th anniversary of General Pinochet's military coup, contains many of the secret records detailing U.S. government complicity with Pinochet. The narrative includes transcripts of Nixon, Kissinger and other cabinet members discussing how to dismantle the pro-Marxist Allende government. White House cables welcoming General Pinochet to power and CIA, National Security Council and State Department reports on the September 1976 car bombing deaths of Orlando Letelier and Ronni Moffitt are also included. Following his presentation, Mr. Kornbluh answered questions from the audience.</description>
