      <title>Book Discussion on [Liberation Square]</title>
      <description>Ashraf Khalil talked about the January 2011 Egyptian revolution and what has happened in that country over the past year. He had been reporting from Cairo for the past 15 years and was present in Tahrir Square during the uprising. He was joined in conversation by Rob Malley, a recent visitor to Egypt. The conversation, moderated by Lela Hailal, included discussion of the recent elections. They also responded to questions from members of the audience.
"Inside the Egyptian Revolution" was a book launch event at the New America Foundation in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Malley's name is misspelled on screen.</description>

      <title>U.S. Middle East Policy</title>
      <description>President Obama talked about U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, focusing on political reforms after a wave of popular uprisings in Arab countries from Tunisia to Syria.
In his remarks he praised the democratic nature of the uprisings and contrasted the revolutionary sentiment with the terrorism of al-Qaida, and pledged moral and economic development support to assist the people of the region. He also called for a solution to the impasse in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, specifically calling for a recognition of a sovereign Palestine along the 1967 borders. He remarked, "the status quo is unsustainable, and Israel too must act boldly to advance a lasting peace," and that "Palestinians will never realize their independence by denying the right of Israel to exist."</description>

      <title>President Obama Remarks in Marquette, MI</title>
      <description>President Obama said the world was "witnessing history unfold in Egypt and that the United States will continue to support an orderly and genuine transition to Democracy in that country." His remarks came shortly after reports that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak planed to leave office soon. President Obama addressed the situation in Egypt at the beginning of a speech on expanding high-speed wireless networks. The President announced a goal of giving 98% of Americans high-speed wireless access within five years.</description>
