      <title>Statue of Freedom Replacement</title>
      <description>As a prelude to the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Capitol Building, the 130-year-old Statue of Freedom was returned to the top of the Capitol dome after a 5-month restoration process costing $750,000. Mr. Brown and Representative Mica discussed the architecture of the Capitol Building and the decorative painting under the cast-iron dome. Ms. Merk-Gould discussed the restoration process and Mr. Ramage discussed the moving of the statue. Music was played periodically and President Clinton and other dignitaries were seen gathering for the ceremony.</description>
